The city has a large professional landlord base, a high proportion of properties managed by letting agents with formal checkout procedures, and detailed inventory reports from the start of most tenancies. What Gets Inspected and What Gets Deducted

The oven. Almost universally inspected, almost universally a source of deductions from student properties. After a year or more of student cooking, ovens accumulate baked-on grease that is essentially impossible to remove without specialist equipment.
